ABOUT US

I started in the Club Lamb Business in 1988, when Terry Walls and I purchased 36 registered ewe lambs from Hill Country Suffolks. We then purchased ram lambs from Wintex Farms in 1990 and began keeping replacement ewe lambs. All wether lambs were sold to Gail Christian.

In 1991, Terry and I split the flock and I began raising lambs exclusively for Gail Christian. In the first few years, all of my lambs were out of the Wintex Ram that I had purchased which Gail referred to as "221". He was a son of "Seven". As my involvement with Christian Show Lambs increased, I began using Gail's Rams such as: "Tyson", "1520", "Channel Cat", "Thunder", "Lightning", "Blue Duck", "Lonesome Dove", "The Broken Leg Ram", "911", "Final Drive", "Steel" (and some of his sons) and "30-30".

From 1991 to 2001, Gail sold my lambs at his farm. These were the red tag lambs that he had.

After the Federal Government killed Gail's flock because of the scrapie, my flock was also tested. All of the QQ ewes were removed and no scrapie was found in my flock. The government declared my flock "Scrapie Free" and released me from the hold order in October of 2002, allowing me to sell any animal - Ram, Ewe, Ram Lamb, or Ewe Lamb.

Only two Rams remain from Gail Christian's flock. They are "Sensation", a son of "Pistol Pete" (Skedegel) and a Harrell-Rhodes Ewe, and "911", a son of "Channel Cat". Both of these rams were tested by the government and found to be RR/NN. With the approval of the Federal Government, I purchased these rams from Gail Christian and they sired my 2003 Lamb crop.
